The majority of machines have the perspex title strip where that metal strip is/was attached on your front door, however, some machines had a chrome plate that "housed" the perspex title strip (or a cut down version of it), within it. There will others who will chip in, so listen to all advice and take your time in selecting the best option for you, and yes, the different models on Aristocrats can be very confusing indeed but don't worry about that for now, let others chip in and set your sites on your next half dozen or so machines. Is the drawer locked at the front with no key or is it open and the hasp secures it now? Looks like it has a hasp locking set up on the handle side. If you can confirm your location there may be better advice from someone more local to you in terms of likely options to pursue, but in general, get yourself a nice working rotary mechanism and invest in some chrome and paint and you will have a nice bandit or pokie. Is there lighting and does it work, as if it has, that will enable you to see if the artwork panels top and bottom are good or poor, as it may influence what you do next in terms of a replacement mechanism. It would have been a smart looking bandit out of the factory. I would appreciate any help you can offer. Is it mechanical or electro-mechanical? Should there be anything in the draw under the machine? I need to know what is missing and what types/models will work in it. It does not have a jackpot window that shows the jackpot coins. It does not have a window for a meter in the middle of the payout card. It has the round window that you can see the coins go round as you pull the lever (mec missing escalator?) It is a 10c three reel machine with a maximum jackpot of $20 Looks like it might be a Grosvenor but there are a couple of different types around that confuse me as a newcomer. It is an Ainsworth however the date is not stamped on the plate. It doesn’t have a name badge just a plain chrome strip.
There is not a lot to choose from in my area and it is the style I was after so I grabbed it even though it had parts missing.Īs this is my first machine I am not sure what it is missing and this is made more confusing because I can’t find a lot of information about these machines. I have just bought this Aristocrat one arm bandit however it is missing the mechanism.
